This paper presents six recommendations developed by ACP Energies to accelerate the response to the climate crisis.

Two main recommendations form the foundation of the proposal:

  1. Promote local energy production with a central role for biomass (R1). Restore and enhance biological carbon cycles while developing renewable bioenergy and strengthening territorial resilience.
  2. Make fossil fuel producer-consumer chains responsible for their carbon (R2). Progressively establish a framework in which fossil carbon extraction is balanced by an equivalent amount of carbon captured and geologically sequestered.

Four complementary recommendations address:

  • R3: Restoration of fundamental biogeochemical cycles essential to life.
  • R4: Industrial transition of fossil fuel-producing regions.
  • R5: Research and development to accelerate implementation.
  • R6: Awareness, communication and stakeholder engagement.

The document connects geological carbon neutrality with a broader transition towards renewable biological energy systems and the restoration of natural carbon cycles.
