Science, publications & resources
Exploring the science, economics and governance of fossil carbon.
Geological Net Zero builds upon research and proposals addressing the long-term consequences of transferring fossil carbon from geological reservoirs into the atmosphere, oceans and biosphere.
This library brings together scientific publications, conceptual frameworks, policy proposals and technical analyses supporting the development of Geological Net Zero.
1. Foundational Publications
The origins and development of the Geological Net Zero concept, including its scientific foundations, principles of responsibility and proposals for international climate policy.
2. The Fossil Carbon Notebooks
A series of thematic papers examining the global fossil carbon cycle, industrial emissions, geological sequestration, climate responsibility and pathways towards defossilization.
3. Scientific & Technical Papers
Research and technical analyses covering geological CO₂ storage, natural hydrogen, subsurface microbial processes, biochar, BioCCS and emerging carbon management technologies.
4. Policy & Climate Finance
Proposals for the GNZ Pact, sovereign defossilization funds, international cooperation and the distribution of carbon responsibility from producers to consumers.
5. References & Open Resources
Scientific references, reports, figures and publicly accessible resources relevant to Geological Net Zero.
The library will progressively incorporate publications, supporting data and contributions from researchers and institutions working on fossil carbon management and climate stabilization.
